I left you at about 1 or 2 very early this morning, I am back around noon. You would think after ten hours of sleep I’d be ready to run the mile nineteen times…This “sleeping problem” is worse than I could have ever imagined. To the average person sleep is everything they need to refuel their day and give them the edge they need to change the world in the most mundane of ways. For me, however, sleep is something that hasn’t always been kind to me. It leaves me awake when it’s needed most, it plagues my dreams when I actually do meet it…I never have good dreams anymore. So here I sit, at the computer, hungry but with no food in my kitchen, hot but with no air conditioning, and complaining more than I’d like to. But hey, these things are about opening up right? So, have at thee.
Today, as everyday, will be filled with things that will make me wish for a retreat back to my unpromising bed, complete with equally unpromising covers, and an insatiable need to skip through the remaining hours of the day only to repeat the process again when next I meet the sun.
Welcome to my world
To quote Warrel Dane from “The Sorrowed Man,”
“Take me away to the quiet place…the place that holds my beautiful dream.”
